Thursday 5th February
Library
YAY!!!! The library is opening today in time for you to get some books out for the long weekend. This is a great day to visit the library because the whole collection is available for you to choose from. Very popular series like Minecraft, football, Pokemon, Bluey & Piggie & Elephant books will be restricted to 2 books per person (so we can share them around).
Children who have moved to Year 4 are now allowed to get 4 books issued.
Ko te Rāapa te tuawhā o Huitanguru/Wednesday 4th February
From Matua Nick: Well done for a great day yesterday everyone! Summer is back! This means we can get outside for our breaks today. Please remember to wear your pōtae! The field will be closed for morning tea to dry out. It MIGHT be ready by lunch time - you will know if it is because the flags will be removed! Please bring your VERY BEST values to this morning's mihi whakatau!

Rerenga Kupu o te Wiki
The phrase for the next 2 weeks is 'Whakamaua tō pōtae - put your hat on'.
There is also a whakatauki for Waitangi day - Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua. - I walk backwards into the future with my eyes fixed on my past.
This whakatauki is about how the past influences our future.
